Having overcome years of anorexia to fit into the model mould, Renn broke free to make a name for herself as a curvaceous beauty, gracing the covers of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue internationally.

  By the time Renn was 23, she had penned her autobiography: Hungry: A Young Model's Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves , detailing her absent mother and battle to accept her natural body shape.

  Now aged 25, it seems Renn is ready for another incarnation in life.

  Eschewing the jet black hair that has so far been her trademark just as much as her hourglass shape, Renn showed off her newly peroxide hair at a spring dinner dance in New York last night. And it's not just the hair. Renn's dramatic eyebrows are a thing of the past too, for when she embraces a change, she goes the full hog, and has bleached her eyebrows white.

  Florida-born Renn made like her friend and fellow top model Coco Rocha by choosing to wear a gown by New York Fashion Week star and red carpet favourite Zac Posen to the fundraiser.
